Bosch Automotive Aftermarket was present at the Phillip Island Classic Festival of Motorsport, 17th-19th March 2017. Situated at the Phillip Island Circuit, the Phillip Island Classic Festival of Motorsport is the largest historic racing event of its type in the Southern hemisphere. The event attracted over 500 entries from Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the world. The Patron for the 2017 event was legend of Australian Motor Sport, John Bowe.
The Bosch marquee was a successful attraction with a broad range of products on display as well as an F1 Race Car Simulator. The F1 Race Car Simulator attracted large crowds to the stand of all ages who were encouraged to test their driving skills to win a prize. The participants with the top five fastest lap times won a Bosch C3 Battery Charger and a Spark Plug T-Shirt.
The Bosch products featured at the event included Spark Plugs, Wiper Blades, Brake Pads and Batteries, with Bosch associates on hand to answer questions and mingle with classic car racing enthusiasts.
Once again, Bosch sponsored two races on the Saturday and Sunday. The three podium placed entrants in each Bosch sponsored race were presented with a limited edition Bosch podium cap and C3/C7 Battery Charger to celebrate their achievement. Additionally all entrants in the Bosch sponsored races received a Bosch merchandise showbag.
The Bosch brand was on display throughout the event including banners, flags, merchandise, caps and decals on the race cars participating in the two Bosch sponsored races held on the Saturday & Sunday.
